One-Component Clearcoats

BASF Ureclear^® clearcoat is a one-component system based on carbamate technology that provides the etch-resistance performance of a two-component clearcoat. Achieving comparable performance to a two-component product in a one-component system yields obvious process efficiency advantages and cost savings. In addition, BASF now offers Inova^® clearcoat, which is also based on carbamate technology and offers one-component system advantages, for fascias, bumpers and automotive components.BASF Automotive OEM Coatings recently received the Ford Motor Company's prestigious Henry Ford Technology Award for Manufacturing for the development and implementation of Ureclear clearcoat. The Henry Ford Technology Award Program recognizes the company's highest level of technical achievement.
