| BASF donates $1,000 to Morgan County Emergency
Management Agency
Grant to be used to upgrade EMA’s operations center
DECATUR, Ala., December 17, 2004 -- BASF recently presented the
Morgan County Emergency Management Agency with a $1,000 “Helping
Make Communities Better” grant that will be used to upgrade
the organization’s emergency operations center.
“The EMA office greatly appreciates this contribution,”
said Johnny Cantrell, Morgan County EMA Operations Officer. “Our
operations center is used to mitigate events or disasters in Morgan
County.”

We also have a strong commitment to helping make the communities
in which we work and live better," said John Brock, Manager
of BASF’s Decatur site. “We recognize the commitment
and dedication of the members of the Morgan County EMA and we are
proud to support our neighbors with this donation.”
Approximately 160 employees work at BASF's Decatur site. The site
produces a variety of industrial coatings products.
