Dr. Kurt Bock joined the Finance division of BASF Aktiengesellschaft in 1985. From 1987 he was Staff to the company's Chief Financial Officer. In 1991, he was promoted to head of Technology, Planning and Controlling in the Engineering Plastics division. From 1992 to 1997, Dr. Kurt Bock was employed by Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart as Senior Vice President, Finance and Accounting and as Managing Director for Bosch Brazil. In 1998, he rejoined BASF as Chief Financial Officer at BASF Corporation, New Jersey. From August 2000 onward, he headed the Logistics & Information Services competence center at BASF Aktiengesellschaft. Bock was appointed to the Board of Executive Directors of BASF Aktiengesellschaft (since January 14, 2008: BASF SE) effective January 1, 2003. As the Chief Financial Officer of BASF SE, he is responsible for Finance, Information Services, Corporate Controlling and Corporate Audit. Since 2007 he also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BASF Corporation and has responsibility for the North American regional division and the Catalysts operating division.

Joseph C. Breunig
Joseph C. Breunig was appointed Executive Vice President of BASF Corporation and President of the company's Chemicals, Plastics and Performance Products business segments in North America in October 2005. Breunig joined BASF in 1986, and served as a Process Engineer, and then Production Manager, at BASF's Monaca, Pa., site. In 1992, he was named Site Manager of BASF's Chattanooga, Tenn., facility. He returned to the Monaca site in 1996, as Director of Manufacturing. In 1998, he assumed the position of Marketing Director at BASF's headquarters in Mount Olive, N.J. In 2000, Breunig was named Director, Global Technology, at BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany. Since 2001, Breunig had served as Group Vice President of BASF's Functional Polymers business in North America. Breunig holds an MBA and a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Fried-Walter Münstermann Fried-Walter Münstermann was appointed Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer of BASF Corporation in February 2006.
Münstermann manages the North American service platform, including
purchasing, taxes, treasury, controlling, logistics, environment,
health, and safety, and information systems. Münstermann is
also responsible for BASF Canada and BASF de Mexico as well as
the Fine Chemicals and Agricultural Products businesses in North
America. Prior to this assignment, Münstermann served as Group
Vice President, Regional Functions and Business Development in
Europe for BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, Germany. He served as Managing
Director, BASF plc., in Cheadle, U.K., from 2001 to 2003, and prior
to that was Vice President, Controlling and Investor Relations,
for BASF Pharma, Ltd. In 1995, Münstermann was named Senior
Manager, Corporate Development for BASF subsidiary Knoll AG. He
joined BASF Magnetics GmbH in 1992 in the Finance and Accounting/Controlling
Division. Münstermann studied business administration at the
University of Muenster and the University of Cologne.

Wayne T. Smith

Wayne T. Smith
Wayne T. Smith was appointed Executive Vice President of BASF Corporation and
President of its global catalysts division in June 2006. Smith has
more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving
as Group Vice President of BASF's intermediates business in North
America. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager
of Specialty Construction Chemicals at W. R. Grace and Company, Cambridge,
Mass., where he was responsible for the strategy development, growth
and profitability of that unit worldwide. Before joining Grace, Smith
was the Vice President and General Manager of The BOC Group, Murray
Hill, N.J., where he led the Packaged Systems business. A native
of Rochester, N.Y., Smith earned a bachelor's degree in chemical
engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., and a master's
degree in business administration from The Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. |

David Stryker
Senior Vice President and General Counsel |
David Stryker
David Stryker was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel
in April 2004 and has overall responsibility for the legal and
government affairs of BASF in North America. Stryker also serves
as the Chief
Compliance Officer for BASF and chairs the Company's compliance
oversight committee. Stryker came to BASF after ten years at Siemens
Corporation in
New York. Before joining Siemens, he was a partner in the Chicago
and New York offices of Kirkland & Ellis, and he started his
legal career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Robert H. Bork,
Judge for the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of
Columbia Circuit. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana, and holds
a bachelor's degree in English literature and a law degree from
Indiana University.
