Company continues sponsorship of public television, educational programming
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., February 10, 2006 -- BASF continued its 17-year
tradition of support to public television this week with a $1,000
contribution to fund WTCI-TV45’s broadcast of Tennessee Governor
Phil Brenesen’s 2006 “State of the State” Address.
WTCI ran live coverage of the governor’s annual speech on Feb.
7.
“BASF has had a long-standing commitment to WTCI and public
television,” said Bryan Fuqua, Interim President and CEO
of WTCI-TV45. “This year’s funding of our live coverage
of the governor’s address has allowed viewers across the
area to stay in touch with Tennessee state government.”
“Our continued support of public television represents BASF’s
larger commitment to making the communities where we operate better,” said
J.D. Purvis, Manager of BASF’s Chattanooga sites. “WTCI’s
quality programming depends on the help of many individuals and
organizations. BASF is proud to help fund this station and public
television.”
