BASF to increase prices for several amine intermediates in North
America
FLORHAM PARK, N.J., November 22, 2006 – Effective December 1, 2006, or as
contracts allow, BASF will increase off list prices in the United States,
Canada and Mexico by $0.05 per pound on its Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA),
Dimethylethanolamine (DMEOA) and Methyldiethanolamine (MDEOA)
intermediates.
General uses of these amine intermediates include the manufacture of fabric
softeners, dyes, plastics, pharmaceuticals, surfactants, pharmaceutical
products and coatings as well as gas scrubbing and water treatment
products.
