BASF to increase prices for paper colorants and optical
brighteners
CHARLOTTE, NC, July 18, 2007 -- Effective August 1, 2007, or as contracts
allow, BASF will raise prices in the United States and Canada by a minimum of
ten percent on all of its paper colorants and optical brighteners including
Basazol®, Anthosin® and Fastusol® dyes, Solar® pigments and Solar® Brite
optical brightening agents.
This action is a result of an escalation in the cost of many raw materials
used to make these products.
BASF remains committed to the North American Paper industry and continues to
invest in the company’s North American colorant production facilities to ensure
that customers receive quality, performance and value.
Anthosin, Basazol and Fastusol are registered trademarks of BASF AG.
Solar is a registered trademark of BASF Corporation.
