CHARLOTTE, NC, April 30, 2008 – Effective immediately, BASF is imposing sales controls on its 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) sold in North and South America for a minimum of four weeks, or until the BASF inventory of this material reaches its normal level.
This action has become necessary as a result of raw material shortages, plant turnarounds and stronger than expected 2-EHA demand.
During the period of sales control, BASF expects to fulfill all contractual obligations with customers. However, BASF will not be able to accommodate additional spot business.
