BASF Corporation to increase prices for cosmetic polymers

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, June 9, 2008 -- Effective June 15, 2008, BASF Corporation will increase prices for all cosmetic polymers by 30 percent, or as contracts allow.  Products affected are grades of Luviflex®, Luviform®, Luvigel®, Luvimer®, Luviquat®, Luviset®, Luviskol® and Ultrahold®.

As raw material and energy prices have risen considerably, BASF is required to increase the prices of its products.

Personal Care Ingredients

Our assortment of personal care ingredients comprises UV filters, active ingredients,
cosmetic polymers, surfactants and effect pigments. With that range of high quality products
we are the partner of personal care industry in the areas of hair care, skin and sun care, oral care, body wash and shampoo and color cosmetics.
