CLEVELAND, OH, July 7, 2008 – The Admixture Systems business of BASF Construction Chemicals announced today several organizational changes in Canada to support their focus on continued development and growth in the region.
As of July 1, John Mucciaccio assumes the role of Divisional Sales Manager, Admixture Systems, for the Canadian Division. In this new role, John will be located in Toronto and will manage sales activities for all of Canada. He will report to Alan Nedza, North American Sales Manager, Admixture Systems.
“John has been with the organization for 30 years and has consistently demonstrated strong customer focus and solid business skills,” Nedza said. “Our customers will benefit from his knowledge of the market and his keen understanding of the relationship between manufacturing and end use.”
Mucciaccio will be joined by Keith McDonald and Kelly Hines, who will both become Area Sales Managers for the Western Canada region. Both Hines and McDonald will report to Mucciaccio.
Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Hines will be responsible for sales in the Canada West region, which includes British Columbia and Northern Alberta. He has been with the company since 1987 and, prior to assuming this role, managed dispenser operations, spearheading design improvements and turning concepts into customer solutions.
Located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, McDonald, who is currently a sales specialist in Underground Mining and Construction in Western Canada, will be responsible for the Prairies Area, which includes Southern Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavit. He will also maintain responsibility as Area Manager for underground construction in Western Canada. He has been with BASF since 1999.
“I’m extremely excited about welcoming John, Kelly and Keith into their new leadership roles,” Nedza said. “We are committed to the future growth of the Canadian market and know our customers in the region will benefit greatly from our expanded presence there.”
The reorganization follows the announcement that Roger Barker who, after 31 years of dedicated service to the company, has decided to retire later this year. Barker will, however, continue to provide support to BASF, as a consultant.
“Roger will be truly missed,” Nedza said, “but we are extremely fortunate to be able to keep him on board in a consulting role. He is very well-respected in the industry and within our community for his strong leadership abilities, depth of knowledge and commitment to his customers. We wish him luck in his retirement, and are pleased that he will continue to be a part of the BASF team.”
