BASF to increase prices for Acronal and Acronal Optive all-acrylic, Acronal styrene-acrylic and Basonal multi-monomer emulsion polymer latex products in the United States and Canada
Adhesives, fiber bonding, architectural coatings, paper and construction market uses included

CHARLOTTE, NC, July 9, 2008 – Effective August 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by $US 0.10 per wet pound in the United States and Canada on all Acronal® and Acronal Optive® all-acrylic latex products, Acronal® styrene-acrylic latex products and Basonal® multi-monomer latex products used in the adhesives, fiber bonding, architectural coatings, paper and construction markets.

This action is necessary as a result of unprecedented cost increases that BASF continues to experience regarding raw materials, freight and energy costs.

Acronal Optive is a registered trademark of BASF Corporation. Acronal and Basonal are registered trademarks of BASF SE.
