FLORHAM PARK, NJ, July 17, 2008 -- BASF will increase all off list selling prices for Normal Butanol, Isobutanol, 2-Ethyl Hexanol, 2-Propyl Heptanol, Pentanol mix and Pentanol mix derivatives (pentyl acetate and Iso pentanol blend) by $0.10 per pound in North America, effective Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts permit for all shipments.
The need for these increases continues to be driven by escalating energy, transportation and hydrocarbon feedstock costs.
