Market the advantages of the site to the outside world

The main purpose of the unit is to market the Ludwigshafen site. An active settlement policy is designed to attract suitable cooperation partners to the site, who then contribute to the Verbund while profiting from its advantages.

We actively recruit other companies to settle at the site. We want to strengthen and enhance the BASF Verbund site by entering into long-term, stable business relationships with customers and companies who settle in Ludwigshafen, who complement our Verbund and who, like us, deal responsibly with the environment, safety and health.

We offer these companies the chance to cooperate with a globally active, strong company and to settle at a sustainable site of a reliable partner.

We choose and approach potentially interested parties in close consultation with the affected BASF units. When settlement management elaborates ideas for projects, it cooperates with marketing management to develop a complete infrastructure and service offer, including the space, and coordinates all settlement activities. This ensures that settlers are continuously accompanied from the initial contact until the plant starts operating.
