BASF Team Chemistry

Sports are about IMPACT!

Whether you are talking about contact sports like football and hockey, endurance sports like track and cross country, or specialized skill sports
like volleyball and gymnastics, playing a sport involves IMPACT.

Putting on a sporting event also creates IMPACT. From traffic to noise, waste, water and energy consumption, fans also create considerable IMPACT.

BASF and the University of Michigan Athletics Department have partnered to issue a challenge to the U of M students and we are going to reward a total of $25,000 to the top teams that create the winning solutions. Simple challenge—tough solution. There are numerous ways to approach this challenge. Your solution might involve public transportation, technology applications, marketing solutions, new recycling/waste stream initiatives—or something completely different. What’s important is that your solution creates a measurable difference in reducing the impact of sporting events on the U of M campus. The solution can be large or small, but must reflect innovation, sustainability, collaboration and practicality.

Team Chemistry is about working together to achieve common goals and a sustainable future. BASF is committed to using the power of chemistry and innovation to create a better game day experience at U of M. Let’s work together to leave the impact on the field.
