JONCRYL® resins by BASF are
produced using a solid grade oligomer (SGO) process providing the following
characteristics:
-
a narrow molecular
weight distribution resulting in tightly controlled properties and uniformity
of product;
-
a variety of
molecular weights for formulating flexibility to tailor solids, gloss,
viscosity, and VOC levels;
-
affordability and
flexibility in raw material processing.
JONCRYL rheology
controlled (RC) emulsions provide:
-
extremely fine
particle size products contributing to excellent gloss;
-
near Newtonian
rheology in high shear printing press conditions;
-
robust products that
withstand high shear mixing and excellent freeze/thaw stability;
-
chemical resistance
and exterior durability; and
-
excellent
appearance, flow and leveling.
JONCRYL polymers are
primarily used in the business segments listed to the left.
