Protectol^® CX^® Type A - Applications

Protectol CX Type A is to be used in vacuum pressure impregnation of wood products, where it is forced deep into the wood. Fixation of Cu and Cu-HDO is fast and highly effective. The American Wood Preservers’ Association (AWPA) under Use Category System (UCS) designations UC1, UC2, UC3A, and UC3B has standardized Protectol CX Type A for use with:

• Southern yellow pine
• Ponderosa pine
• Hem-fir
• Douglas-fir
• Red pine
• Radiata pine
• Scots pine
• Plywood (UCS designations UC1, UC2, and UC3B)
