Ultrasint® PA11 GB30

Another bio-based plastic in the Forward AM polyamide 11 range, this powder for prototyping and small-series production is reinforced with glass beads.

Derived from castor seed oil, Ultrasint® PA11 GB30 is a cost-effective alternative to pure polyamide 12. It comes with all the advantages of the Ultrasint® range, from easy processing to high performance in challenging environments. Its high ductility prevents end parts from splintering on impact.
However, its glass-bead additives lend end parts extra rigidity and superior heat deflection properties compared to unfilled PA11, while balancing elasticity and impact resistance.

Examples of applications using Ultrasint® PA11 GB30

  • Small series and rapid prototyping of parts that require good wear resistance, such as housings or bushings
  • Small series and rapid prototyping of rigid parts with a smooth surface
  • Small series and rapid prototyping of parts that need to perform reliably in challenging environments, such as surroundings with high temperatures

Like all powders in the Ultrasint® range, Ultrasint® PA11 GB30 comes with a wide processing window and can be processed on most conventional SLS machines. We provide printer processing guidelines including parameters to help you get the most out of this polyamide 11 powder. In addition, consultancy and on-site support are available to help ensure the material performs on your printer.
