BASF at SIMAC 2026: Advanced Materials for Durable and Circular Footwear Concepts

BASF introduces low-VOC polyurethane catalyst Lupragen® BisDMAPU
BASF’s Intermediates division is expanding its portfolio of amine catalysts with Lupragen® BisDMAPU, a new low-emission catalyst designed for flexible polyurethane (PU) foam applications. Lupragen BisDMAPU (chemical name: 1,3-Bis[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]urea, CAS 52338-87-1) will be available to customers globally under the Lupragen trademark.

Durasorb® LNG MAX technology implemented at Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG facility
BASF announced today that Cheniere Energy, Inc. has commissioned Durasorb® LNG MAX technology at its Corpus Christi LNG facility in Texas, USA (the “CCL Facility”). Durasorb installation at the CCL Facility began in 2025 and is now in place on multiple mid-scale and large-scale liquefaction trains. Cheniere plans to complete installation and commissioning of Durasorb across the remaining CCL Facility liquefaction trains by the end of 2027.

BASF strengthens production of acid chlorides and chloroformates with fully modernized plant in Ludwigshafen
BASF today officially inaugurated its fully modernized plant for the production of acid chlorides and chloroformates (ACCF) at the Ludwigshafen Verbund site. The new production asset represents a milestone for BASF’s Intermediates division, designed to combine increased production capacity with enhanced sustainability performance and long-term supply reliability for customers worldwide.
