A tailored development plan
"When I heard about the CYP program at BASF Coatings, I knew that a tailored development plan consisting of several rotations was the right move to fast track my career. As I was always hoping to be able to grow and rise within the ranks of a multinational company, I knew that the CYP program would provide me with the necessary tools to do that."
Challenging projects and a world of opportunity
"My favorite work so far has been on the Next Generation Training project, which is a collaborative effort among the company's different regions with the goal of creating a brand new training concept for BASF refinish coatings both regionally and globally. Contributing to and growing my potential on this challenging and exciting project has been an amazing experience for me.
"The CYP program has given me the opportunity to learn and develop myself at the company's global competency centers overseas. Through those experiences I have become more involved in the company and have been given a deeper understanding of the industry. I have worked with a number of overseas delegations and have been exposed to a more international communication environment than I was before I joined the program. I believe this will equip me with a much broader knowledge of the company's markets, and will help my career development moving forward.

Nick has a master's degree in Chemistry. At BASF, he was worked in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney. When he's not working, he likes listening to music, watching movies, hiking and cooking.
