China Environment Fund IV

China Environment Funds (CEF) are a series of USD funds established in 2002. The fourth fund of CEF focuses on investing in early-growth stage sustainable technology companies in China or globally with China nexus. The fund has invested in over 20 portfolio companies, many of which stand out by developing or applying intelligent technologies in traditional cleantech industry solutions.

The fund management team has been closely engaging BASF’s global and China team in technology scouting and co-investment opportunities. Besides BASF, it also established an extensive network of like-minded investors, including multinational corporations (MNCs), development financial institutions (DFIs), regional pension and sovereign wealth funds to top-notch family offices.
