Data Science and AI Developer
In this role, you will apply your expertise in data science, ML and AI to develop digital solutions for Care Chemicals globally. You will be involved in designing Python scripts, optimize AI prompts, and improve business processes through data-driven insights, by being a member of Data Science and AI team of Care Chemicals Global Digitalization.
We are looking for candidates open to critical thinking and ideation thus formal background is not critical.
This position will report to the Managing Director of Croatia and the Global Leader of Digitalization at Care Chemicals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop Python scripts, use web scraping technologies and API implementations
- Leverage AI language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering to design optimal solutions for AI-driven applications.
- Apply machine learning, statistical analysis, data modeling techniques to extract relevant insights from data and communicate findings to the business in a clear and actionable manner.
- Identify and apply optimization techniques to improve business processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with R&D to develop and communicate data-driven models, analyses, and solutions that address specific business challenges and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Promote digital transformation by identifying opportunities for efficiency and upskilling team members through knowledge sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient programming skills in Python, specifically for web scraping (Selenium), LLMs (LangChain), API calls, data analysis and optimization
- Strong understanding of machine learning, AI models, statistical analysis, and data algorithms.
- Experience in prompt engineering and crafting prompts for AI systems.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies, such as Databricks and PySpark.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
- Ability to assess the efforts and complexity of tasks, take independent initiative in identifying problems, proactively propose and implement solutions, while collaborating with the team to ensure shared understanding.
- University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in computer engineering, data science or a related field
- Optional: Experience with Computer Vision, Git, Agile/Scrum methogolody
