You found more than one interesting job? Please apply online for up to three positions only. If you submitted your application you will instantly receive a confirmation per mail.

Did you not find your ideal position? Then feel free to send us an unsolicited application for a specific country and an operational area.

In order to get some first impressions of you during the screening process, we review the information that you provided us in your CV. In addition to you professional qualifications, we are especially interested in:

  • Your educational and professional determination
  • Your commitment e.g. in social, athletic, musical or cultural endeavors
  • Your intercultural interests or experiences
  • Further education / qualifications, awards or grants

When do I receive a feedback?

Your application will be examined individually and upon a positive assessment will be forwarded to the relevant business/functional unit. We aim to give you feedback on your application within two weeks. Since multiple parties are involved in the selection process, in some cases it can also take longer.

Telephone Interview

Have you peaked our interest? Then the next step is to set a date for a telephone interview with one of our colleagues from the European recruiting team so that we can gather some first impressions about who you are and what skills you have to offer. We will also of course be pleased to answer any questions.

If you convinced us during the pre-screening process, you will be invited to a personal interview day. BASF chooses to forgo assessment centers and placement tests, with the exception being for school leavers who are applying for a vocational training in Germany. Your interview day is primarily focused on getting to know you better and giving you the chance to meet potential colleagues and get an idea of how BASF operates as an employer.

If you won us in a personal talk, we will contact you via phone and talk with you about the further procedure. We have an attractive total offer which consists of a competitive salary and appealing additional services. You will have many opportunities to develop your personal and professional skills at BASF.

How long does the whole application process take?

In general it takes 2-3 months between a candidate sending the application and receiving the job-offer. The length of time is however influenced by a number of factors and varies depending upon the job posting. For example, finding an interview date can sometimes be complicated since many people are involved; or perhaps you have applied especially early – as a result the process can also take longer.
