CasaE in São Paulo is BASF's first eco-efficiency house in tropical climate. Visitors can find modern products and solutions by BASF in every corner: The high-performance materials contribute to reducing water consumption and CO2 emissions, and help increasing the energy efficiency of the house.
According to a study conducted by the Brazilian Espaço ECO Foundation, the energy that is saved in CasaE over a period of 40 years compared to a traditionally-built house meets the daily energy needs of 10,700 homes. Water savings amount to 430,500 liters – that corresponds to the average water consumption of more than 2,150 inhabitants per year.
After an extensive renovation, the energy-saving house now shines in new splendor. Re-opened for guided tours, lectures and training courses, the newly created space also serves as a residential portfolio for experts and students who are interested in innovations and trends in the construction industry.
