In sales you are located directly in one of our regional and global business units and are responsible for a particular customer portfolio in a region or industry.
As a candidate with previous professional experience, you can join the company directly in a position with responsibility. From the very start, you take responsibility for the tasks, customers and projects assigned to you. Your training is on the job with the support of experienced colleagues who facilitate you joining the company.
You are a business economist, ideally with a specialization in sales management. It could also be that you are a business engineer, business chemist or a scientist/engineer with additional business management training or several years of experience in sales and marketing. You have an entrepreneurial personality and have already been working for some years. Enjoying working in a team and customer-orientation are key factors. You also have excellent communication skills, also in the English language.
In sales you have the opportunity to join us in the following roles:
- In key account management you will be in charge of major BASF customers in the relevant segments and are responsible for the entire product range for these customers. Your main tasks include establishing and maintaining customer relationships, regional sales and technical services.
- In direct sales you will be responsible for several customers in an area or industry segment. Depending on the unit, the regional responsibility as well as the range of customers and product portfolios vary - from basic commodities all the way to speciality products.
As a responsible key account manager or account manager, you will handle the complete sales process for a selected regional customer portfolio as well as establishing and maintaining sustained customer relationships.
Your activities are guided by the respective departmental strategy and range from market analysis and new customer acquisition, quality assurance of products and solutions, to negotiating delivery agreements and fulfilling after-sales measures.
