Elastopan® PU systems offer high-performance and innovative solutions for producers of casual shoes, safety shoes, boots and sport shoes. These are tailor-made polyurethane foam systems for the production of unit-, mid-, out- and insoles. It is compatible with casting and direct injection machines.

Elastopan® is Lightness and Comfort

A decisive factor for synergy between the shoes and the feet is the appropriate choice of materials. Elastopan® systems provide a virtually unlimited freedom in terms of design, color and texture, simple handling and processing paired with excellent physical properties like flexibility, abrasion and hydrolysis resistance, durability and low density. Elastopan® systems are available as polyester and polyether based systems.

Elastopan® soles are:

  • Oil- and petrol resistant, anti-static
  • Fulfill all relevant EN standards
  • Durable, slip resistant and ergonomic
  • Fashionable in terms of shape and color

Das Besondere an den Materialien der BASF sind zum einen ihre herrausragenden Eigenschaften und zum anderen die Produktideen, die sie ermöglichen. What makes BASF materials special is both their excellent properties and the product ideas they enable. These products are presented in the so-called “Wunderkammer”, or “cabinet of wonders” – a funnel, whose walls block off the peripheral view to suspend spatial orientation. The perspective distortion merges objects and visitors moving amongst them into an astonishing collage. Playing with perception – in just the same charming, analogue way as was so popular in 1865, the year in which BASF was founded.
