BASF donates over $28,000 to United Way of Southeastern Michigan

WYANDOTTE, MI, March 4, 2015 – As part of an ongoing commitment to serving local communities, BASF donated more than $28,000 to the United Way of Southeastern Michigan. BASF employees pledged more than $18,000 in contributions in addition to the $10,000 corporate contribution. The donation is part of BASF's ongoing effort to improve lives in measurable and lasting ways throughout the region.

“Strong communities come from everyone working together. As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, this contribution is another example of how investing in much needed services help improve our communities and provide solutions to problems that affect us all,” said Greg Pflum, Vice President and General Manager of BASF’s Midwest Hub.

“We all win when children succeed in school, when families have jobs that offer a steady income and when people have access to the basics.  United Way is tackling some of the toughest issues communities face: education, income and basic needs,” Pflum added.
