BASF to hold Disease Solutions Education Seminars

Regional seminars will discuss challenging turfgrass diseases and highlight potential solutions

Research Triangle Park, N.C., March 9, 2015 — BASF will host a series of Disease Solutions Education Seminars for the second consecutive year throughout United States from March through June. The seminars aim to educate golf-course superintendents and turf professionals about today’s most prevalent turfgrass diseases and highlight potential solutions.

“BASF is dedicated to helping support superintendents in their quest for healthy turf,” said Jeff Vannoy, Senior Product Manager of Turf Products for BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions. “Our Disease Solutions Education Seminars will provide participants with the tools they need to maintain best-in-class greens year round.”

Among the turfgrass solutions that will be discussed at the seminars are Xzemplar® fungicide and Lexicon® Intrinsic® brand fungicide.

Xzemplar fungicide contains only the active-ingredient fluxapyroxad, brand name Xemium®, a highly mobile and effective succinate-dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) for preventative and curative management of dollar spot and other key turfgrass pathogens.

Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide contains a 1:2 ratio of fluxapyroxad and the active ingredient in Insignia® SC Intrinsic brand fungicide. Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide is a next-generation Intrinsic product that gives turf managers both disease control and advanced plant health benefits.

In addition to turfgrass diseases and fungicide products, attendees will also learn about BASF fungicide trial programs and other current research and development projects.

For information on the seminar dates and locations, golf course superintendents and turf professionals can contact their regional BASF representative or visit us at www.betterturf.basf.us/.
