BASF brings color and chemistry for the personal care and cosmetics industries to NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2017

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, April 25, 2017 – BASF is demonstrating innovations in pigments, formulations and active ingredients for the personal care and cosmetics industries at the 2017 New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day, May 2-3 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Bridging pioneering research with its chemistry expertise, BASF will showcase new ingredients and concepts for use in color cosmetics, hair care and skin care product formulations.

“Formulators are working to bring products to market that meet consumer demands for texture and sensory appeal, deliver product efficacy, and provide long-lasting, visible results,” said Daniele Piergentili, Vice President Regional Business Management, Home Care and Personal Care North America. “BASF is launching new ingredients for skin care and hair care to help our customers meet these challenges.”

Diane Jansson, Global Business Manager, Cosmetics, Pigments, BASF, added, “Another one of our customers’ challenges is monitoring trend forecasts. This year we have teamed up with Pantone®, the world’s leading color expert, to go ‘Ahead of time’ and look at color trends for Spring / Summer 2019. This allows us to help our customers strengthen their cosmetic brands”.
