Conductivity aids for water- and solvent-based formulations
Controlling electrical charge in liquid and solid coating systems is essential for many applications. Examples include electrostatic spray-applied liquid coatings and charge dissipation in flooring used in electronics assembly areas. In these cases, conductivity plays a critical role in both product quality and safety.
BASF offers conductivity aids that can be used to modify the conductivity of coatings in their liquid state and, at higher use levels, in their cured solid form. We also provide solid-form conductivity aids for applications where conductivity is a primary requirement, particularly in high-solids and highly filled cured coatings.
Our conductivity aids are versatile and effective across a wide range of formulation polarities. Many of these solutions also support low-VOC requirements. Unlike traditional conductivity additives, BASF products offer excellent compatibility with various coating systems and have little to no impact on coating color.
