Tobias Dratt is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BASF Corporation, a role he assumed on May 1, 2018.
He leads the North American service platforms in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, including Finance & Accounting; Controlling; Tax & Insurance; Internal Audit; Procurement; Information Systems; Supply Chain Operations; Human Resources and Corporate Communications. He is also responsible for the Health and Nutrition, Construction Chemicals and Crop Protection businesses in North America.
Prior to his current role, Tobias served as Senior Vice President, Regional Functions & Business Centers South America, of BASF S.A. in São Paulo, Brazil.
Tobias joined BASF in 1998, after completing his studies on Business Administration in Mannheim, Germany, and graduating as Diplom-Kaufmann. In his first role with BASF, he served as specialist in Corporate Audit in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
After working as Manager, Subsidiary Financing & Mergers and Acquisitions, for two years, Tobias moved to Istanbul, Turkey, in 2003 to take over the position of Director, Finance, Administration & Operations, Business Center Turkey, Middle-East and North Africa. Four years later, he became Vice President, Finance & Controlling Asia Pacific, BASF East Asia Regional Headquarters Ltd., located in Hong Kong. He returned to Ludwigshafen in 2011 to accept the position of Senior Vice President, Treasury, BASF SE, Ludwigshafen.
Tobias was born in Mannheim, Germany. He is married and has two children.
