The newly released yearbook of the German Global Compact Network (DGCN) “Global Compact Deutschland 2015” focuses on the question, how – in times of global crises and conflicts – sustainability frameworks, that have been announced in 2015, like the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, can be put into action and which role companies play in their implementation. Other focus topics are CSR-reporting and a review of the Global Compact + 15 Europe Conference, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the initiative.

The article by BASF on the topic of stakeholder relations deals with the importance of dialogue and collaboration with external actors, while informing about different ways of stakeholder-involvement at BASF.

Global Compact is a business initiative of the United Nations. Companies joining Global Compact commit themselves to align their business strategies with ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor norms, environmental protection, and anti-corruption efforts. The annually published Global Compact Yearbook presents examples of how companies successfully put the ten principles into practice. As a founding member, BASF has supported the UN Global Compact since the year 2000.

The international Global Compact Yearbook will be published later in 2016.
