BASF Report 2015 published

Feb 26, 2016

The BASF Report 2015 has been published and is now available online.

Containing all key figures for the 2015 business year, BASF’s corporate report was released and presented at the Annual Press Conference on February 26. An integrated report, the publication documents the company’s economic, environmental and social performance and is geared toward financial and sustainability experts, shareholders and employees alike, as well as the interested public.

BASF has been combining its financial and sustainability reporting into one document since 2007, demonstrating how sustainability contributes to the company’s success.

What’s new in the BASF Report 2015?

For the first time, the interplay between financial and nonfinancial figures can be seen in a graphic modeled on the framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). Entitled “How we create value,” this chart illustrates how BASF creates long-term value for the company, the environment and for society. This is also the first year that sustainability reporting has followed the international “comprehensive” G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

The Report starts off with a photo series showing examples of Co-Creation and Celebration, the theme of BASF’s 2015 anniversary year activities. From “jamming sessions” to science symposia and creative marathons – this year’s introduction provides glimpses into numerous events held on the three main topics of urban living, smart energy and food. The collaborative efforts of scientists, customers, employees and partners gave rise to various ideas, a few of which are also highlighted here.

An online version of the Report can be found at report.basf.com. This Online Report is specially optimized for use with mobile devices, like tablets or smartphones. In addition, it also offers useful features such as an interactive key figure comparison or various options for downloading information and charts.
