We plant trees for corporate volunteering

What better way to celebrate World Environment Day than to have some of our team out in the fresh air together to plant trees!

As a benefit to our staff and through our commitment to our community BASF Australia and New Zealand offers one corporate volunteering day each year, per person to use on a volunteering initiative of their choice.

A team from Melbourne recently came together to use their Corporate Volunteering day to take on a team tree planting challenge posed from Conservation Volunteers Australia.

The event took place at Lerderderg Gorge just past Bacchus Marsh, Victoria where we replenished trees in an area that had been cleared during the gold rush period.

"The Conservation Volunteers Tree Planting Challenge is an excellent initiative and a wonderful experience. I found the day very well organised, highly enjoyable and overall satisfying to know that you and your team mates have made a positive contribution to the environment," said Aaron Gill, Head of Regional Marketing, Mining Solutions.

"A big thanks to BASF for the support to attend such an event. If any of our team are wondering how to use their volunteer day entitlement, then I highly recommend this event," he added.
