BASF supports Professional Women in Australian Pest Management Excellence Award

BASF has announced its support of the PWAPM Excellence Award, which seeks to recognise and highlight the achievement of women who have advanced the pest management industry. Nominations open on 15 April 2019, for the PWAPM Excellence Award which is aimed at promoting the work of inspirational women within the industry who embody leadership qualities and embrace the principals of corporate social responsibility.

 

BASF has come onboard as the naming sponsors and will donate a plaque and $500 cheque for the winner. The nominations will be open to women working in upper management, sales and representatives, manufacturers, technicians, insurance, and research organisations.

 

"The PWAPM Excellence Award will offer a unique opportunity to highlight the most outstanding Women in Australian Pest Management. The Award will seek to recognise the hard work that these women contribute to the pest industry and aim to encourage ambition, empower confidence and inspire new female leaders now and into the future." says Nicky Turner, Founder of PWAPM.

 

“We see this award as a fantastic opportunity to identify and recognise women who are role models within the pest management industry, and highlight the significant contribution the individuals are making,” explained Gavin Jackson, Head of Agricultural Solutions at BASF Australia and New Zealand. “This as a great step to encourage more women into leadership roles throughout the industry”.

 

Businesses can nominate an employee, or individuals may nominate themselves.  

 

Nominations will close 2 July 2019. The Award will be presented at the AEPMA Rapid Solutions Gala Dinner on the 9 August 2019.
