Two Women, One Roof

It’s estimated that just over a third of Aussie business owners are women[1] – a statistic that two young women, Sheree Rubinstein and Gianna Wurzl, are eager to change. In 2015, the two came together to found One Roof, which aims to support women across the globe so they can grow more successful and scalable businesses.

One Roof offers shared work spaces with everything a female entrepreneur needs to take her idea ‘beyond inspiration to realisation’. Yoga, meditation, business coaching, mastermind workshops, curated networking events, legal consultations and lessons on everything from social media strategy to wellness for entrepreneurs, are just a few of the things you’ll find at a certified One Roof space.

The concept took home the top prize in BASF’s Creator Space™ event in August 2015, a partnership with the Foundation of Young Australians, after Sheree pitched to a live audience of over 150 people and secured $10,000 in seed funding.

The first official One Roof space opened in Los Angeles, and now, with the seed funding behind them, the pair have opened two new permanent spaces in Melbourne and Sydney. We caught up with Sheree to chat about winning the event, her advice to young entrepreneurs and of course, what’s next for the duo’s brainchild, One Roof.
