Sydney, Australia, 23 May, 2025 - BASF Coatings announces the launch of Body Shop BOOST program, tailored specifically for the Australian and New Zealand markets. This innovative enhanced consultancy service is designed to help body shop businesses optimise their operations, increase sustainability, and improve overall efficiency. The localised offering introduces unique services, including BOOST KPI and BOOST Body Shop Design, as part of the comprehensive approach to business improvement.
The Body Shop BOOST program is a comprehensive tool that evaluates all aspects of a body shop’s operations, including administration, body and paint, mechanical services, sustainability, and infrastructure. The program, which already has demonstrated strong performance in Europe, provides body shop managers with essential insights on areas for improvement, along with clear milestones to help achieve business goals. The program addresses common challenges such as inefficient workflows, under utilised resources, and declining profit margins.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Body Shop BOOST program to the local market with features that reflect the unique needs of our customers here in Australia and New Zealand,” said John Ta, Head of Coatings, BASF Australia and New Zealand. “In addition to the core service offered globally, our localised offerings like BOOST KPI and BOOST Body Shop Design ensure that we can meet the specific challenges faced by body shops in the region and help them develop tailored strategies to drive performance.”
The Body Shop BOOST program is facilitated through an advanced online platform that enables body shops to track their progress and measure their performance. Key service components include the BOOST KPI, which supports body shops in steering their business operations by monitoring key performance indicators, separately BOOST Body Shop Design focuses on optimising facility layout and workflow to maximise efficiency.
“We are committed to supporting the transformation of the collision repair industry into a more sustainable and profitable sector,” said John. “With additional services like BOOST KPI, BOOST Body Shop Design, and our focus on sustainability, we empower body shops to reduce costs, maximise their potential and profitability, and remain competitive.”
The Body Shop BOOST program is introduced to all staff at the body shop by the Business Optimisation Solutions BASF team, which then follows a comprehensive assessment. After completing the assessment, body shops receive a detailed report and actionable steps for improvement, with a simple traffic light system to track progress. Services such as the comprehensive financial review and operational KPI monitoring help shops better manage their resources and profitability.
The Body Shop BOOST program is now available in Australia and New Zealand.
