Put your theoretical knowledge into practice.

Do you want to show us what you're made of? If so, we would love to have you as an intern at BASF. We are always looking for talented, interested students from a wide variety of fields. At BASF, we can offer exciting projects and positions for students in humanities and social sciences as well as for scientists and engineers. We are always open to new ideas and unconventional approaches to challenging issues.

Depending on the job profile, you will work on a project either independently or as part of a team. Your personal supervisor will be right by your side to answer any questions you may have, provide helpful contacts, and give you regular feedback on your work.

There are two ways to apply for an internship at BASF:

  • You can search our job database for current internship opportunities and apply directly.
  • You can send us a speculative application

To complete your application, please provide us with a motivation letter including:

  • A brief description of the type of assignments that are of interest to you
  • Your availability (desired start date and preferred duration of the internship)
  • Your desired working site(s): Waterloo, Brussels, Bornem or Ham

You are studying humanities and social sciences (e.g. communications, marketing, economics, human resources), engineering or chemistry.

You like working in a team, are open to new things, communicate fluently and approach new tasks in a goal-oriented and innovative manner. If you also know how to use your initiative and are keen to take on responsibility even during your internship - we are looking forward to meeting you!

In order to be able to complete an internship at BASF you need to be enrolled at a university for the entire duration.

Internships are usually offered for a duration between two and six months.

From the very first day you will be part of the BASF team and will be able to steer your personal development through exchange with experienced professionals in an international environment.

As an intern you can expect exciting tasks that give you the opportunity to actively drive forward what you have learned and give you deep insight into your area of interest.
