Internships at BASF Antwerpen

An internship at BASF is an exceptional experience. At BASF you are not only close to the action, you are a part of it. You can complete an internship at BASF if you study one of the following subjects:  

  • 6th year of secondary education Technology – Science
  • 6th year of secondary education Industrial sciences
  • 6th year of secondary education Electro-mechanics
  • 6th year of secondary education Chemistry

The internships take 1 to 4 weeks, a dedicated internship mentor introduces you to your chosen field and BASF.  

How CAN I apply for an internship?

  • Complete the internship form and send it to stage@basf.com
  • You will receive feedback on available placements and if we can offer you an internship
  • After that, you will receive all information concerning the internship. Then a medical examination and an internship contract follow.
  • We are happy to welcome you for an internship at BASF!

You can complete an internship at BASF if you study one of the following subjects:

  • Additional year in chemical process technologies
  • Additional year in industrial maintenance technologies
  • Additional year in measurement and control technology

The internship takes 8 to 10 weeks for a long internship or 3 to 6 weeks for a short internship. A dedicated internship mentor introduces you to your chosen field and BASF.

How can I apply for an internship?

  • From June to September you can apply for an internship by sending an e-mail with CV and cover letter to stage@basf.com.
  • If your profile fits one of the available internships we invite you for an intake interview. During the interview we discuss each other’s expectations and ask about your knowledge and motivation.  
  • If the interview was positive, we will offer you an internship placement at BASF.
  • Then a medical examination and an internship contract will follow.
  • We are happy to welcome you for an internship at BASF! 

You can complete an internship at BASF if you study one of the following subjects.

  • Professional bachelor chemistry
  • Professional bachelor electro-mechanics
  • Professional bachelor electronics-ICT
  • Professional bachelor integral safety
  • Professional bachelor logistics management
  • Professional bachelor social work (option HR)
  • Professional bachelor facility management

The internship takes several months where you complete a project independently, supported by a dedicated internship mentor.

An overview of all our open project internships can be found on the job portal. Our internships for bachelor students are only possible in combination with a thesis.  

HOw Can I APPLY FOr An internship?

  • From May to October you can apply for an internship by sending an e-mail with your CV, cover letter, preferred period for completing the internship and, if possible, a top three of thesis subjects to stage@basf.com
  • If your profile fits with one of the available internship positions, we will invite you for an intake interview. During the interview we discuss our expectations for the internship and we will ask you about your knowledge and motivation.
  • If the interview was positive, we will offer you an internship at BASF.
  • Then a medical examination and an internship contract will follow.
  • We are happy to welcome you for an internship at BASF 

You can complete an internship if you study one of the following subjects:

  • Master in engineering
  • Master in applied engineering
  • Master in commercial engineering
  • Master in safety studies
  • Master in communication sciences
  • Master in psychology (option work and organizational psychology)
  • Master in Law

The internship can take one month to one year. You will be able to complete a project independently, supported by a dedicated internship mentor.

  • An internship combined with your thesis at BASF
  • A thesis at BASF, without an internship    
  • An internship at BASF, without thesis

You can complete an internship at BASF if you study one of the following subjects: 

  • Process operator chemistry at CVO Technicum Noord-Antwerpen
  • Process operator chemistry at PCVO Waas and Durme

The internship takes 2 weeks. A dedicated internship mentor introduces you to your field and BASF.

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR AN INTERNSHIP?

  • From June to September, you can apply for an internship by sending an e-mail with your CV, cover letter and exam results to stage@basf.com.
  • If your profile fits one of the available internship positions, we will invite you for an intake interview at BASF. During this interview, we will discuss each other’s expectations about the internship and we ask you about your knowledge and motivation.
  • If the interview was positive, we will offer you an internship at BASF
  • Then a medical examination and an internship contract  will follow.
