BASF Technician Angela Muñoz Earns Siemens Technical Scholar Award

FREEPORT, TX, May 25, 2016 – BASF Employee Angela Muñoz has received a Siemens Technical Scholar award. The award recognizes students attending the nation’s top community colleges who have demonstrated persistence and diligence while overcoming barriers to continue their education and achieve their goals. It is given by The Aspen Institute College of Excellence Program and the Siemens Foundation.

Muñoz, who works as a production technician at the BASF manufacturing site in Freeport, Texas, attended nearby community college Brazosport College, where she earned a degree in process technology.

“I worked hard to earn my degree,” Muñoz said. “This award will forever remind me of the time I invested and this important turning point in my career and my life.”
