BASF receives IDEA16 Raw Material Achievement Award
FLORHAM PARK, NJ, June 2, 2016 – BASF recently received the IDEA16 Raw Material Achievement Award for SAVIVA®, its new generation of superabsorbents for use in baby diapers, incontinence and feminine hygiene products. The IDEA16 Achievement Awards recognize the leading companies, individuals, and new products in the global nonwovens and engineered fabrics industry. This award was presented to BASF on May 4 by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, in partnership with Nonwovens Industry magazine.
SAVIVA® is a breakthrough innovation and delivers the next generation of superabsorbent polymers based on a pioneering technology platform, droplet polymerization.
“The unique design of its round shaped particles allows high absorption performance and a new mode of active liquid distribution in the diaper,” said John Putro, Industry Manager, Hygiene Products North America at BASF. It provides customers with the ability to create diaper designs with a new level of dryness, leakage prevention and comfort.”
SAVIVA® demonstrates BASF’s commitment to the hygiene industry, helping to make consumers’ lives better by keeping babies drier with more comfort or by offering a new quality of life for people with incontinence.
