IFSCC Congress 2016: BASF presents latest personal care solutions linking consumer insights to science excellence

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, October 31, 2016 -- Consumers seek healthy lifestyles and are more interested than ever with what they put in and on their bodies. Therefore, they demand greater transparency around raw material sourcing and sustainable manufacturing processes. With these consumer needs in mind, BASF will present its latest innovations to the cosmetic world at the 29th Congress of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC), October 30 to November 2 in Orlando, Florida.

“BASF recognizes that along with product efficacy, the sensorial appeal of personal care products, and their sustainability profile all rank as important decision drivers,” said Daniele Piergentili, Vice President, Home Care and Personal Care North America. “Our customers look to us to bring this awareness to bear when formulating with BASF ingredients and solutions, and that is what we provide at IFSCC Congress.”

Visitors to the IFSCC Congress can explore BASF’s latest solutions at booth #502, including:

A new anti-pollution concept showcasing four products: Purisoft™, PatcH2O™, Arganyl™, Eperuline™ to provide multiple levels of protection to fight the damaging effects of pollution and environmental stressors on skin.

A new bioactive ingredient – Dermagenist™ – reviving contractibility resulting in a more strengthened and improved skin firmness.

Experiential Skin Care™ kit consisting of five unique product solutions that turn everyday routines into a sensory experience.

Additionally, two effect pigments for cosmetic applications marketed under BASF’s Colors & Effects brand – Flamenco® Summit Aqua and Reflecks™ Dimensions Brilliant Gold – along with offerings to optimize the sustainability performance of customers’ portfolios.

As part of the scientific program of the Congress, BASF will present three podium presentations and seven poster presentations addressing breakthrough concepts in skin biology and microbiome, hair care technology, beauty with the magic of colors, and emerging markets and insights. BASF representatives will also discuss the latest emerging technologies in hair proteins at the new Innotech/Connect Zone.
