BASF named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2017

MISSISSAUGA, ON, December 12, 2016 – Today, BASF was recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2017. Mediacorp, the country’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, cited BASF Canada for its work atmosphere, employee communications, health benefits, family-friendly workplace and community involvement. The publisher also highlighted BASF’s commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

“We value differences in work experience, lifestyle and culture, which contribute to diversity in perspectives and ideas,” said Terri Howard, Director of Human Resources. “BASF invests in talent by providing learning and development opportunities for employees to help them grow professionally and personally, expand their network and build a rewarding and dynamic career.”

The editors of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers evaluate employers using eight criteria: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. Selection was based on information from a national Top Employer application submitted by BASF Canada, together with independent research by Mediacorp.

This is the fourth consecutive year the company has been named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers. BASF has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for three consecutive years.
