BASF clothing drive helps women dress for success
SOUTHFIELD, MI, April 24, 2017 – BASF employees from the Southfield chapter of Women in Business group collected and donated more than 400 pieces of clothing and accessories during a recent clothing drive.
“Supporting women’s career development is very important to our team,” said Amanda Taylor, BASF Environmental Health & Safety Specialist and Chair of the Southfield chapter of Women in Business. “Having the proper professional attire when looking for employment is essential and we are happy to help other women.”
Items were donated to Dress for Success in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a non-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
“Dress for Success Michigan is grateful to the BASF Women in Business group for their donation,” said Cheryl Bow, Executive Director of Dress for Success Michigan. “The donated items will help build confidence as our women seek to find and retain jobs.”
