EPA recognizes BASF as Safer Choice innovator
FLORHAM PARK, NJ, June 7, 2017 – For the second year in a row, BASF was named a Safer Choice Partner of the Year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its outstanding achievement in the design, manufacture, and promotion of ingredients used in a range of Safer Choice label products.
“As a longtime supporter of the Safer Choice Program, BASF continually grows our portfolio of ingredients, which provides solutions to consumer demand for safe and sustainable products,” said Daniele Piergentili, Vice President, Home and Personal Care North America. “Our Sustainable Solutions Steering™ methodology allows BASF to not only evaluate products in our existing portfolio, but also proactively address safety and sustainability in the development of new solutions. This insight enables BASF to offer unique products and technologies to meet the growing demand for label transparency and sustainable cleaning products.”
