BASF to increase price for neopentylglycol in North America

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, November 30, 2017 – Effective January 1, 2018, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices for neopentylglycol (NPG) sold in North America by $0.04/lb.

NPG, which is marketed by BASF under the brand NEOL®, is mainly used as a building block in polyester resins for coatings, unsaturated polyesters, lubricants and plasticizers. BASF produces NPG in Freeport, Texas; Ludwigshafen, Germany; as well as Nanjing and Jilin in China.
