BASF recognized as one of Canada’s safest employers for the 3rd consecutive year

MISSISSAUGA, ON, October 26, 2021 – BASF has been recognized by the Canadian Occupational Safety magazine as one of Canada’s safest employers, receiving a Gold Award in Canada’s Safest Employers – chemistry industry. This is the third consecutive year BASF Canada has been recognized.

Sponsored by the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, Canada’s Safest Employer Awards recognizes companies annually across Canada for their efforts in promoting and maintaining outstanding health and safety in the workplace. BASF Canada was recognized at a virtual gala event held on October 21, 2021.

“This is a recognition of BASF’s efforts of truly living by our core values - prioritizing health and safety above all else,” said Sean Cammaert, Head of Health and Safety, BASF Canada. “The last year and a half with the pandemic specifically challenged our safety-focused culture, but our team has worked together to ensure we can keep our BASF community, families and communities safe.”
