BASF named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for the 13th consecutive year

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, December 2, 2025 – BASF has been named as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers by Mediacorp for the 13th consecutive year.

Mediacorp, Canada’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, recognized BASF for its flexible health and family-friendly benefits, broad range of support and recognition programs, and overall work environment. These offerings include hybrid and remote work options and subsidies, international assignments and global development experiences, inhouse career planning and training, a peertopeer recognition program, and impact bonuses that reward outstanding performance.

“At BASF, we believe that our success is linked to the well-being of our people, our greatest asset. That’s why providing a truly supportive work environment is central to our culture,” said Peter Halder, Head of People at BASF Canada. “This recognition reflects our commitment to ensuring our teams have the resources they need to feel empowered and valued, enabling them to do their best work while thriving at every stage of their lives.”

Mediacorp editors evaluate employers for Greater Toronto’s Top Employers and Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere, social, health, financial, and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

BASF’s commitment to its employees has earned the company multiple other awards, including Canada’s Top Employers (2026), Top Employers for Young People (2025), and Best Diversity Employer (2025).
