MISSISSAUGA, ON, January 20, 2026 – BASF has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People by Mediacorp for the fourth year in a row. The award recognizes Canadian employers leading their industries in offering exceptional workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.

Mediacorp, Canada’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, recognized BASF for its career development programs, which help young talent gain hands-on experience and launch or grow their careers within the industry. The programs include paid internships, career counselling services, leadership training, mentorship pairings, tuition subsidies and access to industry-relevant courses.

BASF also was highlighted for its innovative 24-month rotational Professional Development Program, which offers students and graduates the opportunity to explore technical and commercial streams and develops future top talent. This program often leads to full-time roles for new graduates upon completion.

“At BASF, we are proud to support the next generation of innovators and changemakers by providing meaningful work across a diverse range of job opportunities and career paths,” said Marian Van Hoek, Managing Director at BASF Canada. “Through continuous development opportunities and mentorship, we help early-career talent to grow their skills and thrive.”

Canada’s Top Employers for Young People are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in terms of the programs they offer to attract and retain younger workers. These include benefits like tuition assistance and co-op or work-study programs, mentorship and training programs, and career management programs to look for initiatives that assist younger workers to advance faster in the organization. When defining award recipients, editors also look at the composition and profile of each employer’s workforce.
