The co-creation of BASF, ITO Design and Interstuhl, made with 20 different materials, from the wheels to the upholstery, for modern office environments.  

Elastopan® Light Safe (PU systems), another solution for safety shoes, is light and antistatic. These and even more innovations in polyurethane systems and thermoplastic polyurethanes will be presented at the booth of BASF. The expanded TPU Infinergy®, which does not lose its high resilience even with continuous use, is the ideal material for midsoles in safety shoes.

The broad portfolio of our Elastollan® products caters to customers’ constantly changing needs in footwear technology. Our materials provide excellent properties, such as mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and a wide hardness range (due to its availability in both polyester and polyether-based formulations). The product range covers soft grades for damping elements or brand tacks, medium hardness grades for compact or combi soles and hard grades for heels and heel tops. Antistatic agents could be added to Elastollan® to be used for safety shoes.

  • Made with BASF’s Elastollan® thermoplastic polyurethane, which lasts longer and resists punctures and abrasions.
  • Elastollan is applied on the top and hotmelt lining layers of the fire hose.
  • Elastollan provides an impressively high burst-pressure rating, yet it also ensures a high degree of flexibility for kink resistance and ease of coiling.
    It can also be stored wet without rotting and can resist exposure to sunlight and chemicals.

  • For the jacketing of charging cables, Elastollan® is an ideal choice as it increases durability and possesses excellent low temperature flexibility.
