World Environment Day 2023

Lewis Adera, Market Developer Planting a tree during the World Environment Day celebration.

Protecting the environment is an integral part of BASF’s voluntary long-term goal of protecting, restoring, and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, combating desertification and halting biodiversity loss. In line with this, our colleagues in Kenya planted trees in this year’s National World Environment Day celebration at the Lake Nakuru National Park in Nakuru County.

The event brought together organizations from both the private and public sectors, and they all joined hands to #BeatPlasticSolutions which was the theme for this year’s celebration.

As part of our commitment to the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, we are supporting initiatives that recycle, reuse, and repurpose plastic to keep it out of the environment.
