Secure your future with the world's largest chemical company.

Working as an engineer means working on countless cutting-edge projects, in areas such as automation technology, wireless technology, RFID technology and measurement technology, as well as applying IT systems for production.

Your position may involve working to continually optimize laboratory, production and logistics processes, or developing innovative technologies and competitive service products, and you will be quickly assigned responsibility for planning and implementing technical operations.

As soon as you join the company, we offer support seminars, and then provide international opportunities for further training and development. Alongside this, team-focused, expert colleagues will provide you with on-the-job training from day one.

At BASF, you can find out how to apply what you have learned at university on a practical level.

Working as an engineer means working on countless cutting-edge projects, in areas such as automation technology, wireless technology, RFID technology, and measurement technology, as well as the use of IT systems in production. BASF offers hugely exciting roles for electrical engineers – you'll work to develop the best possible solutions with responsibility from the outset.

We also offer intensive training by experienced staff that are on hand to provide support and advice and will integrate you into the team.

Automation and control engineering offer a wide scope. You have a technical/science degree in physics, electrical engineering, process/control engineering, technical IT or (engineering) mathematics for example and want to transfer your knowledge, reflected in your above-average grades, to practical situations.

We expect an analytical understanding, creative approach to problem solving and a high level of commitment. Besides excellent German and English communication skills, you can also work well independently.

We look forward to receiving your convincing application documents.

We are currently looking for staff in all fields and offer a range of positions.

For example at our technical centers, which oversee ongoing manufacturing processes at BASF production sites. The centers for automation and electrical engineering offer technological expertise and a competitive service along the entire process and plant cycle, specializing in weighing, filling and packaging technology, process analysis technology, PCE field devices, and automation, electrical, communications and conveyor technology.

Or in plant construction, where electrical engineers carry out tasks such as planning the infrastructure and automation of plants.

You could be responsible for any of  the following tasks, depending upon your given role:

  • operation optimization projects
  • developing and implementing innovative technological solutions
  • developing and maintaining measuring devices and PCE field devices
  • projects in production-related communications technology
  • automating laboratory activities using robotic systems
  • designing and sourcing electrical machines
  • automating logistics through RFID technology and automated data recording and processing

There are countless other opportunities for you in areas such as research and development, site management for example infrastructure or energy provision, production as an operations manager, environmental and safety technology, and logistics.

As well as traditional engineering fields, we also offer roles in technical marketing, our internal consultancy service, and strategic planning.

A career as a specialist or manager is also an option.
